  • Hong Kong Super Series PV Sindhu loses to Tai Tzu Ying in a one sided final

PV Sindhu won the Hong Kong Super Series semifinal against Ratchanok Intanon to book final clash against Tai Tzu Ying.

The Rio Olympics silver medallist will face Ratchanok Intanon in the last-four round.

On the other hand, World No.6 Ratchanok has never reached the final here, her best performance being the semis in 2015, while Sindhu finished runner-up in the tournament a year ago as she lost the summit clash in straight games to Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei.

World No 1 Tai has won the last three meetings between them, including two this year.

Sindhu has now reached third final in the Superseries meets for the year.
