"Most of those who have been confronted with corruption charges against them by the committee have agreed to a settlement and the necessary procedures are being completed", the statement said.
A total of 320 people had been subpoenaed to provide information about alleged graft while 159 remain in detention and "a number" of them have been referred for judicial action, he further said.
"Based on evidence", the statement read, "the Public Prosecutor's Office made a decision to continue detaining a limited number of individuals and release the remaining individuals".
