Former NBA star Dennis Rodman began crying with emotion during a CNN interview Monday evening, heralding President Donald Trump's decision to launch diplomatic discussions with North Korea's Kim Jong Un. He also said former President Barack Obama never gave him "the time of day" on the subject.

The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

According to Reuters, several analysts see the summit as light in substance and remain unsure of how effective the agreement would prove to be in the long run, regarding North Korea's much-anticipated denuclearization.

The leaders are meeting on Tuesday on Sentosa Island and although it is unlikely that they will be indulging in anything more than a strong cup of coffee, PotCoin is maximizing to the full Rodman's relationship with both leaders.

On Twitter, conservatives celebrated Trump's meeting with Kim-and Rodman's heartfelt support of it.

"I just fell in love with [North Korea] from day one". "I like the guy", Rodman, 57, said.

Dennis Rodman, the former National Basketball Association star, is taking advantage of his relationship with Kim and says he is in Singapore to help promote world peace. "I'm so happy", Rodman said after breaking down talking about death threats he received in the United States due to his conversations with Kim, someone Rodman has considered a friend. Asked last week if Rodman had been invited to Singapore, Trump said, "No, he wasn't". "And he does understand Kim Jong Un", he added, noting that most other pundits "haven't had that direct contact like he has". "I still kept going back".

NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, who arrived in Singapore ahead of the meeting, shared his feelings with news anchor Chris Cuomo after the meeting between Trump and Kim got underway. "He's very happy to carry out the things I've been saying". I couldn't go home.

It marks a contrast from 2014, when Trump tweeted about Rodman being "either drunk or on drugs" in response to the former National Basketball Association star's suggestion the two might travel to North Korea together.

It is unknown if North Korea will be willing to put its nukes on the table in talks with the US. He even got emotional when discussing the summit on CNN.

Back in the Obama era, however, Trump had described his reaction to Rodman's North Korea diplomacy more along Obama lines, tweeting: "Dennis Rodman was either drunk or on drugs (delusional) when he said I wanted to go to North Korea with him".

"This is Trump and Kim Jong Un's day", he said.
