RUMOR: Cavs will likely draft Michael Porter Jr. at No. 8

  • Michael Porter Jr. a former standout at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle speaks to reporters during the NBA draft combine in Chicago

One thing that is clear, however, is that if Missouri's Michael Porter Jr falls to the Cavs, they will very likely select him with their eighth overall pick in the Draft. He was expected to miss the year but returned to play two games for the Tigers in March.

There was a report that perhaps the Jazz had promised to select Huerter with the 21st pick, but the latest suggests that it was instead the Lakers who had told Huerter that he would not slip past them. Needless to say, the freshman's pilot season was cut short due to a back injury. The New York Times' Marc Stein reported that Memphis is considering trading away this pick with 6-foot-10 wing Chandler Parsons, who has been injured for most of his time with the Grizzlies.

"Several sources, ranging from National Basketball Association executive to agents to scouts, told cleveland.com that the Cavs would most likely draft Porter if they could. The team, naturally, will not comment on its draft strategy".

"These are the reasons the Cavs would likely take Porter if he's there, sources said". He has too much upside to overlook.

The NBA's annual selection of prospects happens on Thursday evening in NY, and according to reports, the Sacramento Kings, owners of the No. 2 overall pick, are considering selecting Porter.

Jeff Sessions Defends Immigrant Separation Policy Against Nazi Germany Comparisons
There is no official US law that requires the separation of families at the border. Sessions said it might during a May speech on the zero-tolerance policy.

"After Porter, the names most often tied to the Cavs are [Collin] Sexton, Duke center Wendell Carter Jr".

Nonetheless, teams are tantalized with Porter's potential, and he's considered a unanimous lottery pick-he may even go in the top five.

There's no telling for sure where Porter will end up.

Hopefully they make the right choice.
