The U.S. Embassy in London issued an alert on Tuesday to Americans in the British capital, warning them to keep a low profile during President Donald Trump's visit later this week in case protests against him turn violent.

US President Donald Trump is set to land in London on Thursday for a three-day visit to the UK.

In an effort to prepare and warn Americans ahead of the demonstrations, the US Embassy is encouraging its citizens to take extra precautions.

With tens of thousands of Brits signed up to take part in the protests of President Trump's policies, the embassy further warned that "several of the events are expected to attract large crowds and there will be road closures in connection with these events".

Stripped of all the pomp of a full state visit, it seems that Trump will largely avoid the streets of London by meeting the PM at her country residence at Chequers, as well as the Queen at Windsor Castle.

The mom of two told her mother (63) and daughter, Willow (17), that she went "cold turkey" to address her issues. I had already lost my mother, I had already lost a husband, I had already lost another relationship.

The "Demonstration Alert" issued by the embassy also tells Americans to "exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings that may become violent". "Among the planned demonstrations is a large "Trump baby" blimp, which was approved by London city officials to fly over Parliament".

Scotland Yard said it has specialist plans in place to ensure the event will be secure and said in a statement: "We are preparing for a multi-faceted policing and security operation, involving the protection and movement of the president".

Mr Khan was asked if he would have endorsed a giant black baby blimp of former president Barack Obama in protest during his presidency, or an image depicting Mr Khan as a pig despite that being offensive to Muslims.

The organizers continued on, "BUT people have been SO generous and supportive that we now have WAY more money than we can sensibly spend just on Trump's United Kingdom visit in July!"
