Cat-astrophic TV interview? This Polish scientist didn’t think so

  • This famous BBC interview has a feline sequel

A Polish political scientist and historian was appearing on Dutch TV to discuss the forced removal of Polish judge Malgorza Gersdorf by the ruling PiS party when his ginger cat decided to make a rather dramatic appearance.

Targlaski gamely carried on during the interview, occasionally removing his cat's tail from blocking his face.

Dutch journalist Rudy Bouma, who was conducting the interview, shared a clip of Lisio stealing the show. And as Polish historian Jerzy Targalski learned recently, even a TV interview won't stop cats from climbing whatever and whomever they please.

As Targalski talked about Polish history, Lisio climbed up his arm and onto his head and shoulders.

So, during filming, which took place in the house of the historian, a red cat climbed on the shoulders of the men, covering his fluffy tail eyes.

It's reminiscent of the time North Korea expert Robert E Kelly was interrupted by his daughter and baby son during an interview with the BBC.

The ginger cat, called Lisio, chose to climb his owner's shoulders and purr up against him affectionately, waving his tail in his face.
