Ind-Eng ODI: Adil Rashid on the ball that got Kohli's wicket

Some freakish selections, a misfiring batting lineup, an insipid bowling attack and a listless fielding unit, all resulted in the big final of the limited overs series turn into a horror day for India.

Fans set Twitter ablaze after watching Dhoni taking the ball from umpire after the conclusion of third and final ODI in Leeds.

Having split the limited-overs series, India won the Twenty20s, England the ODIs, the first of five tests begins on August 1 at Edgbaston. On Tuesday, team India lost the 3rd ODI and one-day series, which stopped the winning triumph of men in blue after 9 worldwide series. He tried to corral the tail and saw India pass 200, but another four overs passed without a boundary and Dhoni was out in the 46th, edging David Willey behind on 42 off 66 balls. This may be critical, as he and Jonny Bairstow have got England off to two solid starts.

Joe Root, who roared back to form after a lean patch, punished India with a second successive hundred. He scalped three wickets but gave away 68 runs in his 10 overs.

After restricting India to 256/8, both Morgan and Root made light work of the run chase on a wicket that was assisting the spinners, with Kuldeep Yadav, the chief wicket-taker for the visitors in the first game, unable to bag a single scalp.

Fittingly, they were guided to a 2-1 series victory by an unbroken third-wicket... They went past 2118 partnerships runs put on by Alastair Cook and Ian Bell.

Root then reached his half-century off 60 balls, while Morgan quickly joined him in reaching his 39th fifty off 58 balls.

England were in cruise control throughout this stand and Indias attack appeared lacking in penetration. Dhoni also led India to the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 in England. Kohli clipped the ball to square leg but was not keen on a single.

Michelle Obama Spotted At Beyonce And Jay-Z Concert
Michelle Obama's incredible legs caught the attention of multiple fans at a recent Beyoncé and Jay-Z concert. This isn't even the first time the former first family went to see the King and Queen of music.

Despite not scoring a century, Kohli's scores of 75, 45 and 71 helped him finish the series with 191 runs at an average of 63.66.

Kohli backed up to a delivery that turned from leg stump and knocked over his off stump.

It is only the first time that Kohli was clean bowled by a leg-spinner in 200 ODI innings and 112 Test innings. India was 158-5.

MS Dhoni tried to restore the innings but in the last two games he has looked like a man swimming against the tide. The duo batted with caution, as they were the last recognized pair.

India could be boosted by the return of bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Dhoni was caught behind in the 46th over, and it seemed that India will fall short of 250.

"I thought we were never on the mark as far as runs on the board were concerned, we were 25-30 short, and England were really clinical with the bat and in the field as well", he said.
