Tyce upped the ante in the act when he slipped a blindfold over his eyes and reached out to catch Mary - but missed her.

Luckily Mary didn't break any bones as she hit a padded mat below, and she even asked to do the trick again. After several agonizing seconds, Mary revealed to the crowd she was not seriously injured.

Tyce, hanging by his feet in mid-air, was lowered and then jumped to the ground, giving his wife a kiss.

"No, it's fine!" yelled Mel B.

Judge Simon Cowell echoed Jeong's sentiments.

A dumbfounded Howie answered: "You nearly got hurt very badly and your first thought was, "Let me do that again".

After the performance on "America's Got Talent", Mary said they are competing because a residency in Las Vegas - part of the grand prize - would mean they wouldn't have to be on the road away from their young son.

"Well, we wanted to step up our act, so we added some new elements that we've never worked with before with the fire and a blindfold", Mary said.
