À la fin du mois de juin, les 5500 syndiqués s'étaient prononcés massivement - à 91 pour cent - en faveur d'un mandat de six jours de débrayage à être déclenchés au moment jugé opportun.

Les employés de la SAQ sont en grève pour la journée. Il est encore en demande pour modifier les horaires et couper des heures.

Le syndicat affirme que les points en litige sont les mêmes depuis le début de la négociation.

L'employeur, de son côté, souhaite qu'il y ait un maximum de salariés disponibles en tout temps, tout en diminuant le nombre d'heures. Les demandes de la SAQ viendraient fragiliser davantage bon nombre d'emplois déjà précaires, et ça, ça ne passe tout simplement pas.

C'est devant des portes closes, sur lesquelles est affiché une mention "Cette succursale est fermée en raison d'un conflit de travail", mais plusieurs collants avec mention "Grève", que les clients de la Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) se butent aujourd'hui. Les employés à temps plein doivent quant à eux composer avec des horaires atypiques de soir et de fin de semaine puisque la majorité des ventes s'effectuent à ce moment, rendant plus difficile la conciliation entre la famille, le travail et les études, le cas échéant.

Le mardi n'est pas une journée très achalandée à la SAQ; soit 8 % comparé à 25 % les vendredis et samedis. Est-ce que les gens vont traverser les piquets de grève? Trois sont ouvertes en Outaouais.
