Cela est notamment dû à la sortie en 2017 de l'iPhone 8 et surtout de l'iPhone X, dont le prix démarre aux Etats-Unis à près de 1.000 dollars. Sans grande surprise, la firme à la pomme a atteint des sommets, notamment du côté de la valorisation boursière qui va gentiment flirter avec le seuil symbolique des 1 000 milliards de dollars.

Après la clôture à Wall Street, le titre Apple a progressé dans les échanges après-Bourse. Le géant, qui cherche à se diversifier tant il est financièrement dépendant de l'iPhone, a notamment affiché une progression de 31%, à 9,6 milliards de dollars, des recettes tirées des "services" (iTunes Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay...).

Outre un chiffre d'affaires de plus de 9,5 milliards de dollars réalisé dans ce pays (+19% sur un an), Apple y fait assembler la plupart de ses appareils.

Interrogé par des analystes, le patron Tim Cook s'est voulu rassurant, notant en particulier que ses produits étaient épargnés par les nouvelles taxes douanières. Il y a une interdépendance entre les États-Unis et la Chine, impossible d'y échapper et elle (leur) sert aussi à se rapprocher: "l'un ne prospère que si l'autre (prospère) aussi", a-t-il continué.

Pour le trimestre en cours, Apple table sur un chiffre d'affaires compris entre 60 et 62 milliards de dollars.

Le secteur technologique a été malmené en Bourse ces derniers jours, dans le sillage des résultats décevants de Facebook puis de Twitter publiés la semaine dernière, avant de se reprendre mardi.

Apple vient de publier les résultats du troisième trimestre de son exercice fiscal décalé qui l'a vu une fois de plus battre aisément les prévisions des marchés. Tous les voyants sont donc au vert, et ce n'est pas tout puisque Apple a même annoncé qu'au prochain trimestre son chiffre d'affaires devrait grimper entre 14 et 18 %. L'entreprise a ainsi enregistré un bénéfice net de 11,5 milliards de dollars, soit une hausse de plus de 30 %.

Rapporté par action, référence en Amérique du Nord, le bénéfice ressort à 2,34 dollars. Apple dépasse les attentes des marchés qui visaient 52,4 milliards de chiffres d'affaires et un bénéfice par action de 2,18 dollars.
