Demi Lovato Breaks Silence After Overdose: "I Will Keep Fighting"

Demi Lovato has released a statement almost two weeks after suffering an apparent drug overdose.

She wrote: "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction".

"Sending love Demi. I've relapsed many times", he wrote.

She thanked her family, team and the staff at Cedars-Sinai, and she vowed to her followers that she will keep fighting.

The 25-year-old songstress addressed fans in a touching Instagram post on Sunday where she thanked everyone for their love and support and said she wants to now focus on her sobriety and healing.

'Without them I wouldn't be here writing this letter to all of you'.

Sources also told CNN that Lovato had been experiencing complications, including "nausea, vomiting and a high fever", and is expected to seek drug rehabilitation treatment following her hospitalization.

It's believed that Demi will remain in the treatment center for at least a month. "I wasn't equipped to be able to handle that situation - and so I got a list of several recommendations of people that specialize in this".

In early July, reports claimed Lovato had split with bothMcIntyre - who had accepted a role as Roc Nation's president of management in April - and Bayer.
