On Instagram and Facebook Aug. 3, Makenzie Noland posted photos of herself donning her cap and gown with a large alligator.
A college senior in Texas has drawn quite a response as she posed for her graduation photos with a massive alligator.
Makenzie Alexis Noland was right when she said this is "not your typical graduation picture". Before she does, she waded into a pond with "Big Tex", an alligator that is almost 14 feet long. Since its publication on Friday, Noland's post has more than 200 shares and it only keeps growing.
Noland hopes to continue to working with wildlife after graduating telling the BBC she wants to be "immersed in animals and educate the public in them".
Over the past several months, Noland has been training with Tex - under the careful supervision of alligator experts.

There is also video of her feeding big Tex and she appears to have trained him to come to her when beckoned and even "beg" for food. "He's a real-life dinosaur".
Some have criticized Noland for posting the pictures, calling the act risky and questioning why she would put her life in danger.
'It took him a few weeks for him to like me, ' she said as she described the budding friendship. "I wouldn't be doing any of this stuff if I thought I was in danger".
