Palestinian militants on the Gaza Strip launched at least 150 rockets at Israel overnight, and Israel retaliated by pounding the region with deadly airstrikes.
Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt Thursday night that went into effect at 10:45pm, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the Health Ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave, Kammash and her daughter were killed in an airstrike in Jafarawi in central Gaza, the ministry said, while her husband was injured. The UN's Mideast envoy appealed for calm.

A Ma'an reporter said that loud explosions were heard in the city of Rafah, which was caused by the launching of Israeli missiles towards various sites belonging to the Hamas movement.
