  • Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 11/9' revealed with bombastic trailer

The 11/9 in the title refers to day following Trump's election to the office of President - and also serves as a wink to Moore's documentary about George W. Bush and the War on Terror, Fahrenheit 9/11.

The ensuing voiceover goes on to pronounce Trump "the last president of the United States". Moore links Trump's political victory to numerous country's biggest crises and issues, including the rise of white supremacists, as the featured trailer above is highlighted with Moore spraying water from Flint, Michigan on a governor's home, and interviewing survivors of the Parkland shooting.

In an interview with HuffPost, Michael Moore said that Trump "has no intention of leaving the White House" and that the Republican party will be "backing him up" all the way.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment in 2016 on the eve of the release of his last film Where to Invade Next Moore advised Irish people to ridicule Trump on a planned but subsequently cancelled visit to Ireland. In that same vein, Moore's new project is bound to explore what America has become under Trump, as well as the possible connotations his administration will have for the country's future. "That all ends with this movie".

He doubled down on that sentiment Wednesday saying that before USA sanctions "nobody supported Iran ". His trip came on the same day that the US restored sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

Fahrenheit 11/9 hits theaters on September 21, 2018.

-Michael MooreThe ultimate message of film-which Moore describes as a "comedy/horror documentary"-appears to be a bridge between the argument that Trump presents an existential and unique threat and this message to those who oppose him: Stop despairing".

The "Fahrenheit 11/9" footage also shows Moore speaking to David Hogg, the activist student who survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14, 2018, and progressive Democratic Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who won a stunning victory in the primary earlier this summer. They're getting steamrolled by a tyrant because Trump understands media and understands the country he lives in more than those that cover him do.
