Lors d'une mission d'entrainement, un "Eurofighter" espagnol basé en Lituanie a tiré accidentellement un missile.

Dans la journée du mardi 7 août, le ministère espagnol de la Défense a annoncé que l'un de ses avions de guerre avait accidentellement tiré un missile en Estonie. L'avion impliqué dans l'incident prenait part à une mission de formation avec deux appareils français, des Mirage 2000. "Le missile air-air n'a touché aucun avion". Un tel engin contient une charge explosive de cinq à dix kilos dotée d'un mécanisme d'auto-destruction, selon l'armée estonienne, qui a lancé une opération de recherche pour retrouver le missile.
