COLUMBUS, Ohio- According to the New York Times, an Ohio State trustee has resigned.

Ohio State University has identified Texas head football coach Tom Herman as the Buckeyes assistant who went with Zach Smith to a Florida strip club when they were both Buckeyes assistants in 2014.

"You read the [investigators'] report", Wadsworth told The New York Times, "and there's seven or eight things about emails, memory loss, hearing things five times, and to me, that raised an issue of standards, values - not how many games someone should be suspended for".

He said he was the "lone voice" of dissent in advocating for a harsher punishment, but declined to specify what he proposed or to speak in great detail about the closed-door negotiations, saying he wanted to respect the confidential words of board members.

Il y a eu des lancers de fumigènes et de fusées de détresse côté Français et les Anglais ont répliqué avec des jets de pierre. Les marins d'Outre-Manche, eux, ne sont pas concernés par cette règle .

He later added: "I felt that getting into a limited number of games that was a suspension missed the point of a bigger cultural concern about, 'What message were we sending?'"

Wadsworth emailed a resignation letter to Ohio State president Michael V. Drake and board chairman Michael J. Gasser about an hour after the university announced Meyer's suspension at a press conference last Wednesday, reports the Times. Wadsworth said he left the daylong meeting at lunch, learned the trustees' decision after it was publicized and resigned that night.

The school also mentioned in the report Meyer has dealt with "significant" memory issues because of a medicine he has taken. Wadsworth stated that his resignation stemmed from being "embarrassed" by the media's coverage over what he considered to be a lenient punishment meted out to Urban Meyer by the university. A wide variety of perspectives were expressed in reaching a consensus. Wadsworth's term as a member of the board was set to expire next year.
