Chelsea beware: Federation Internationale de Football Association set to bring in new loan laws

Chelsea bloody love a good loan deal.

Fifa's are reportedly attempting to bring in new laws which would restrict the amount of players clubs can have out on loan.

The aim would be to "guarantee the sports equality between clubs" and to stop clubs, particularly in England and Italy, signing large numbers of players and loaning them out immediately.

Federation Internationale de Football Association are reportedly set to introduce a rule that will cap the number of players a club is allowed to loan per season, which could have huge implications for Chelsea.

Moving priests who have been accused of child sex abuse is widely seen as a way to help them avoid facing any consequences. McCarrick is accused of molesting an altar boy and having seminary students sleep in his bed with him.

Only 16 of Chelsea's 40 loanees would be exempt from the proposed restriction, meaning that Maurizio Sarri would have to reduce the remaining 24 players all the way down to eight.

The new rule is likely to see a host of players leave the club when it is introduced, with more experienced players like Michy Batshuayi and Tiemoue Bakayoko now still out on loan, despite being fully fledged senior players.

Chelsea have a famously close relationship with Eredivisie club Vitesse Arnhem and have three players - Eduardo, Charly Musonda and Jake Clarke-Salter - now plying their trade for the Dutch team.

Federation Internationale de Football Association president Gianni Infantino hinted at the rule change earlier this year when he said that "it is important to establish a few rules as a limitation of squad sizes or the number of players out on loan".
