Social media footage from the show reveals venue security members removing certain fans from their seats; these same concertgoers were reportedly waving pro-gay rights flags before their ejection, The Fader points out. Being as Dua was center stage, she had to witness the events first hand and released a statement on the matter. All the fans are forbidden to stand out and could only sit on to see the show?!?

Eyewitnesses told MailOnline some other fans were ejected simply because they had been standing up.

She added: "I would love in these last few songs for us to really, really, really enjoy ourselves".

She said she would return to China "when the time is right" and that she hoped to see "a room full of rainbows".

The news broke on Twitter that people were kicked out of Dua Lipa's show by security after waving the flag and fans quickly shared their anger before Dua Lipa spoke out herself.

But her stop in Shanghai on Wednesday night (September 12) was marked by an incident directly affecting a group of her fans.

Another concert-goer, who wished to stay anonymous in fear of repercussions, told MailOnline that she saw one fan, a female, being kicked out by several security guards. I want us all to dance, I want us all to sing, I want us all to just have a really good time.

While another added: "I just found out that at Dua Lipa's last concert, the security of the place expelled fans who wore an LGBT flag, which is a frightful injustice".

MailOnline has contacted Dua Lipa's representatives and the organiser of the singer's China tour for comments, and is awaiting for their replies.
