  • Former US President Barack Obama said Republicans have all the power in the world but they don't seem happy

The race for OH governor between Republican Mike DeWine and Democrat Richard Cordray remains neck and neck, according to a POLITICO/AARP poll.

Former President Barack Obama delivered a simple message Thursday headed into the fall midterm elections: Vote.

The 44th president, addressing a crowd at a gymnasium, said that in the existing political climate, the "stakes are higher", and he stressed that "the consequences of any of us sitting on the sidelines are far more unsafe".

"We worked hard to turn this economy around", Obama said. "It is radical." He said a continuation of Republican control in Washington would threaten Medicaid, affordable health care, even democracy.

"On November 6th, we have a chance to restore some sanity to our politics", Obama said. "We can flip the balance of power back to the American people. It's you and your vote".

Her daughter also had also developed painful bedsores and when doctors tested her urine no trace of the medication was found. Ballweg's bond has been set at $100,000 cash, with the condition that she have no contact with the victim.

Cordray - he was appointed by Obama to serve as as the first-ever director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and held that post from 2012 until 2017 - faces Republican state Attorney General Mike DeWine in one of the season's most closely watched gubernatorial contests.

Donald Trump Jr., the president's son, was in the state Thursday to raise money for DeWine and Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci, who is seeking to unseat Brown in the Senate.

In Cleveland, Cordray pledged to the crowd that he and his party would fight for decency, tolerance, inclusion and respectfulness if elected, declaring, "Change is coming". "They don't think their voices are heard or respected in Columbus and they say nobody is fighting on their behalf and they're right; we've made progress, but we need more and we need an economy that works out not just for some of us, but for all of us", Cordray said.

"He didn't try to take credit for it". "Richard Cordray, Obama's former regulator-in-chief, would just be more of the same of the outdated Obama-era policies that hurt OH families".
