Shahid Kapoor-starrer to witness growth

Batti Gul Meter Chalu couldn't really take any strides at the Box Office as the film just couldn't gain much of a momentum right through the weekend. One can expect the numbers to dip from Monday onwards and while Rs. 30 crore would be crossed soon enough, one waits to see how much time does the Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer need to touch the Rs. 35 crore mark. Batti Gul Meter Chalu raked in Rs 7.96 crore. Friday Rs 6.76 crore, Saturday Rs 7.96 crore. In its fourth week, the film has managed to enter the Rs 100-crore club and has earned a total collection of Rs 116.23.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film's day-to-day earning showed a growth of 17%, which isn't good enought to sustain it in the long run.

After such an ordinary weekend, the film needs to remain rock-steady in the weekdays, so that it can stand with a respectable total in its opening week.
