  • Captain Marvel's Brie Larson reportedly inks 7 movie deal with Marvel

Scarlett Johansson will reportedly earn $15 million for her title role in Marvel Studios' long-awaited Black Widow film. The star is reportedly set to earn $15 million, which would be equal the payouts for Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth in both Avengers: Infinity War and their own starring roles movies, Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok.

The report of Larson's contract, which was signed back in 2016 but details of which were hitherto unknown, comes from THR in a broader story about Marvel actors' salaries, and ensures Captain Marvel will have a huge part to play in shaping the future of the MCU.

THR breaks down that Marvel tends to hold the purse strings tight during a first outing, having given Robert Downey Jr. only $500,000 for the first Iron Man. Then again, this won't be Johansson's first time around as Black Widow, as the character has been a mainstay in Marvel's team-up films for years. The salary was in exchange for the multiple film deal across different franchises. THR also says that actors typically get a bonus depending on the film's performance at the box office.

If you're wondering about what's next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it'll probably involve quite a bit of Captain Marvel. They said in a statement: "Marvel Studios disputes the accuracy of these numbers, and as a matter of policy, we never publicly disclose salaries or deal terms".

It's no news that Larson's Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel, will be appearing in next year's Avengers 4.

Two of those movies, of course, will arrive next year, with solo film Captain Marvel in March followed by Avengers 4 in April, but what about the other five?

Which movies do you think Captain Marvel will appear in?
