  • Dakota Johnson set Ellen De Generes straight about those pregnancy rumors. More

Dakota Johnson is all smiles as she steps out with her older brother Jesse this week in Los Angeles. News earlier this week-but on Ellen DeGeneres' eponymous daytime talk show Thursday, the host made a decision to have a little fun with the silly report.

Johnson's rep previously confirmed to ET that Johnson was simply celebrating her birthday, which the actress clarified on Ellen. "The only thing I'm pregnant with is a lot of really good ideas, but not any babies", she said.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, who has been dating Chris since late 2017, insisted that she was unaware the balloons were going to be released from the arch, and wondered whether this was an accident.

The balloon release led many to believe that the party was a gender reveal party for Johnson's supposed pregnancy.

Going makeup-free the siren wore her brunette locks in a ponytail which she adorned with a white ribbon.

It was speculated that the actress and musician were throwing a "gender reveal party", however Johnson's spokesperson has said it was actually just a birthday party. Onlookers spotted a bunch of blue balloons let up in the air and immediately presumed she is pregnant with a boy.

An archway of pink and blue balloons decorated the party on Sunday.

Hours after the story was published, Dakota's representatives denied she was expecting a baby, insisting that the balloons were in fact in honour of her 29th birthday, which she celebrated on October 4. "But I am very happy".

"So, what, was it just a party at that house - because I couldn't make it?" "I didn't have your number at the time which is why I invited him".

"I knew you'd be with him", DeGeneres replied, referencing Martin.
