Derrière l'empoisonnement des Skripal, deux "héros russes" selon Bellingcat

Le second suspect de la tentative d'empoisonnement de l'ex-espion russe Sergueï Skripal en mars en Angleterre a été décoré par le président russe Vladimir Poutine, a affirmé mardi le site d'investigation Bellingcat. "Nous avons identifié 'Alexandre Petrov' comme étant Alexandre Yevgenïevich Michkin, un médecin militaire employé par le GRU", précise le site Bellingcat, basé à Leicester (centre de l'Angleterre).

Le 26 septembre, Bellingcat avait déjà révélé l'identité de l'autre suspect de l'empoisonnement de Skripal, présenté par la police britannique comme étant Rouslan Bochirov.

En mars dernier, l'ex-agent double soviétique Sergueï Skripal et sa fille Ioulia ont été victimes d'une tentative d'empoisonnement au Novitchtok dans la petite ville britannique de Salisbury.

En juin, deux nouvelles personnes avaient été contaminées par la même substance, dont une mère de famille qui a perdu la vie.

Le président russe Vladimir Poutine avait le 12 septembre déclaré savoir qui étaient les deux hommes mis en cause par Londres. Le ministère britannique des Affaires étrangères s'est refusé à tout commentaire sur cette annonce. Jusqu'à maintenant aucune information ne nous a été transmise par voie officielle.

Il a étudié la médecine à l'académie militaire de Saint-Pétersbourg, et a été recruté par le GRU "avant 2003".

Selon le site d'investigation Bellingcat, Alexandre Evguenevitch Michkine aurait été décoré pour acte héroïque.

Toujours selon Bellingcat, il a participé à des opérations secrètes entre 2011 et 2013 en Transnistrie et en Ukraine, ainsi qu'à des opérations militaires dans ce pays en 2014. Et aurait été décoré en raison de ses actions en Crimée ou en Ukraine.

L'équipe de Bellingcat a contacté des camarades de promotion de l'école militaire dont a été diplômé Alexandre Michkine et deux personnes ont confirmé son identité.

Des journalistes de The Insider se sont rendus à Loyga, où ils ont rencontré sept personnes qui ont confirmé l'identité d'Alexandre Michkine.

Ils ont cité une photo montrant le président russe lui serrer la main et exhibée par la grand-mère du suspect aux habitants du village de Loyga, dans le nord de la Russie, où il a grandi.

L'affaire a provoqué une grave crise diplomatique entre le Kremlin et les Occidentaux.
