Doritos lure runaway pig 'the size of a mini horse' home

California deputies received an unusual call about a rogue pig roaming the streets on Saturday.

One of the deputies had Doritos in her lunch bag and chose to lure the animal, which was "the size of a mini horse" back home.

Deputies in San Bernardino, California lured a pig back home with a trail of Doritos.

The big guy immediately started pigging out on the snacks.

They made a trail with the chips and the pig followed.

The two responding officers knew where the pig lived due to a previous call, according to a post by the sheriff's office.

"Crime fighting to safely securing a mini horse sized pig, we do it all", the Instagram post read.

The popular flavored tortilla chips turned out to be a very effective lure when it came to convincing the pig that it was time to return home.

"We were able to put him back and secure the gate", Deputy Ponce said.
