A federal judge dismissedStormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump on Monday, saying the president made a "hyperbolic statement" against a political adversary when he tweeted about a composite sketch the porn actress' lawyer released. A judge threw out Daniels' lawsuit against Trump on Monday and is forcing her to pay his legal bills.
Daniels still has a separate lawsuit linked to $130,000 she was allegedly paid by Trump's lawyer shortly before the November 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about the affair.
Federal District Judge S James Otero in Los Angeles indicated last month he was unsure of the claim on First Amendment grounds and has concluded the same in this court ruling.
Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti, vowed to appeal the decision and said he was confident it would be reversed. The president, who has continued to deny any relationship with Daniels, later lambasted her claims on Twitter, saying they were "a total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!" Daniels, who claimed she had a sexual affair with Trump in 2006, alleged that a man accosted her in a parking and told her to "leave Trump alone".
"Daniels' other claims against Trump and Cohen proceed unaffected", tweeted Avenatti.
Fox, who has written a book on the Trump family, pointed out that the president's involvement of Eric in the Daniels affair was a stunning move - one that shows a callousness and a disregard for his son's wellbeing.

Donald Trump's tweets can sometimes move markets, antagonize domestic rivals and worldwide allies and put the spotlight on friends and foes but turns out today that the social media platform cannot keep the President in court with Stormy Daniels.
"There is something really rich in Trump relying on the First Amendment to justify defaming a woman", he added.
'The Court agrees with Mr. Trump's argument because the tweet in question constitutes "rhetorical hyperbole" normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States, ' Otero wrote.
In an interview with CBS News earlier this year, Stormy Daniels said a stranger approached her while she was with her young daughter and threatened her.
Upon unveiling the sketch, Stormy's lawyer, Avenatti, said they would pay a $100,000 reward for the identity of the man, and asked for tips to be sent to IDTheThug@gmail.com.
