  • Woman fired after blocking black man from entering his apartment building

D'Arreion Toles was returning to his home in a luxury apartment complex in downtown St. Louis when a white woman blocked his path, refusing to let him enter.

"Ma'am you are not security". Shen then followed him into the elevator and to his front door. "I live here and you are blocking the door".

The first video uploaded by Toles of the initial altercation shows the pair going back and forth, with the woman demanding that Toles tell her which apartment unit is his residence and show his key fob.

In the video, Toles said he lived on the fourth floor while trying to push his way past the woman.

According to KMOV, the woman was an employee of Tribeca Luxury Apartments. "As a record, I just want to say hi, what is your name, and I'm not-".

"And it's my building as well, so I need you to get out of my way", Toles said.

"You are not the owner", Toles said.

We have to win back the NZ public - Kiwis
The Kiwis are next in action when they travel to the United Kingdom for a three-Test series against England later this month. It was the first time in six years that New Zealand have beaten their nearest neighbours and reigning World champions.

Over the weekend, Mueller's employer, Tribeca-STL, which manages real estate elsewhere in the city, said in a statement on its website that it had reviewed the video and fired her. Tribeca does not own the building where Toles and Mueller live.

"Who are you going on the [floor number redacted] floor to see", she continues as she follows Toles to his door and stands there as he uses his key to enter the unit.

Toles told local Missouri news station KMOV4 that he wished his neighbor "the best" and "would still have a conversation with her".

She was employed at a minority-owned property management company that called the incident "disturbing" and racist. The officers on the scene left the building without issuing any citation.

'We are proud of this fact and do not and never will stand for racism or racial profiling at our company.

Toles posted videos of the episode on his Facebook page Saturday and they quickly spread on social media, where the then-unidentified woman was derisively referred to as "Apartment Patty". "If I did not have my camera out, I feel it could have gone a totally different way", he told new station KMov4.com. "I am just glad I had my camera out". "I would like to know whose friends, and why you are here", Mueller says when Toles asks why she is following her. I am not upset with her.
