  • Million Pounds Of Taquitos Recalled For Listeria, Salmonella Concerns

Almost 2.5 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry taquitos have been recalled by the Texas-based company that produces them because of possible salmonella and listeria contamination, federal authorities said.

The Denison-based manufacturer received word from its onion supplier Tuesday and announced the recall Friday, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The Agriculture Department said in a release issued Friday that Buddy's Kitchen Inc. of Burnsville produced the products between Oct 19, 2017, and October 9, 2018. The items were shipped nationwide.

Broncos Listening To Trade Offers For Demaryius Thomas
It doesn't appear any trade is imminent, but Denver "hasn't rebuffed" teams who have called inquiring about Thomas, per Schefter. Past year was the first full season in Thomas' career with the Broncos he didn't eclipse 1,000 yards receiving.

The products have the establishment numbers "17523A" or "P-17523A, and "45694" or "P-45694" on the USDA inspection mark on the box. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider", the USDA said.

Customers who purchased these products are urged by the FSIS not to eat them. Anyone with the affected taquitos should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product, according to the news release. Listeriosis can cause diarrhea, fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.
