  • News So…Apparently Floyd Mayweather Fight With Tenshin Nasukawa Is Back On By Jonathan Salmon

Mayweather has told TMZ Sports that "we're gonna make it happen" after facing questions on the confusion surrounding his New Year's Eve clash with the undefeated kickboxer. Mayweather stated that talks are still ongoing and sounded confident that the two sides will eventually work something out.

In a unusual series of events from Mayweather announcing at the presser he was going to fight the young undefeated Japanese kickboxer at RIZIN to later posting on Instagram that he is backing out after feeling he was blind sided into a real fight when he thought they were doing an exhibition only for a group of wealthy people.

Instead, it's going to be an "exhibition boxing bout", which all sounds rather unsatisfying, but apparently is going to make Mayweather lots of money. "It's a no brainer". What I was originally informed of by Brent Johnson of "One Entertainment" was that this was to be an exhibition put on for a small group of wealthy spectators for a very large fee.

Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa. "Just talking about the event, I've already made insane money".

It was a sentiment echoed by Sir Clive Woodward, who said at half-time: "We keep talking about the leadership of this team and crikey we need some leadership in this second half".

Of course, a lot of people have been left confused by the rules of this fight, but the Pretty Boy revealed whether the match would follow the rules of boxing, kickboxing or MMA. Now, he only needs the money to make it happen. "No kicking", Mayweather explained.

Just a little over a week ago cancelled the much-anticipated fight - due to be held on New Year's Eve 2018 - in a long-winded Instagram post following his return to the US from Japan where he was reportedly negotiating terms and conditions of the upcoming bout. "If I do, do it, it's going to be the highest paid exhibition ever".

Mayweather last fought in August of 2017, where he defeated UFC star Conor McGregor in a highly anticipated boxing spectacle via 10th-round TKO stoppage.

Mayweather also noted that he's already made "seven figures" for promoting the event. "No kicking", Mayweather said. "I got a ton of money".
