  • The Mandalorian Officially Reveals a Stacked Cast

These images bear a striking resemblance to the first look image that was revealed in October, except that the concept art doesn't feature the long weapon strapped to his back.

The lead of the upcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian will be joined in the outlaw wilds of the galaxy by Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul fame; Apollo Creed himself, Carl Weathers; and ominous German filmmaker Werner Herzog, who will also play a role.

Of all the projects in various stages of production at Lucasfilm, the one that seems to be getting the most attention lately is The Mandalorian - a live-action series from executive producer Jon Favreau. "Jon brings the ideal mix of producing and writing talent, combined with a fluency in the Star Wars universe".

Leonard drove and kicked to Ibaka on the final possession, but the Raptors big man couldn't get a shot off before the buzzer. Toronto Raptors extended their red-hot form by beating Golden State Warriors 131-128 in overtime on Thursday night.

But the reason that many of us were excited to see the franchise rise from the dead (myself included) was to see how Disney would explore the rest of the Star Wars universe - the stories that don't directly involve the Skywalker family. However, according to a tweet from The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit, the series might actually take place five years after Return of the Jedi. "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow will direct additional episodes.

As previously reported, The Mandalorian is being written and executive produced by Jon Favreau and will debut on the upcoming Disney streaming service Disney+, "which is set to launch in the U.S.in late 2019". Such is the case for Jon Favreau's forthcoming Disney+ spinoff series, which has just expanded its seemingly never-ending roster of stars.

The Mandalorian is now in production, but fans can expect the series to hit Disney Plus sometime in 2019.
