Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Iran to "get out of Syria fast" threatening to continue air raids against Iranian military targets stationed in the Arab state.

He continued: "I heard yesterday an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson say, 'Iran has no military presence in Syria, we are just advising.' So I advise them to get out of there quickly, because we will continue our aggressive policy, as we promised and as we are doing, without fear and without pause".

On Wednesday, Mehr News Agency quoted Jafari as saying that Netanyahu's threat was "ridiculous", stressing that "the Islamic Republic of Iran will keep all its military and revolutionary advisers in Syria", as well as "equipment and weapons" with which it aims to "train and empower Islamic Resistance forces and support oppressed people of the country". "If necessary, we will step up these attacks".

On Sunday, Netanyahu openly admitted that Israel bombed Iranian targets in Damascus over the weekend. Iran and Syria have condemned the Israeli air strikes on the Arab Republic on multiple occasions, calling for the global community and the United Nations to stop further air raids.

According to the report, the Israeli government has determined that Iran poses the biggest and most serious challenge, as it has not abandoned its nuclear plans on one hand, and is seeking to establish its influence in several countries in the region through proxies such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq, Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.
