Développé par le studio Respawn Entertainment et édité par Electronic Arts, le titre reprend la formule qui fait le succès de Fortnite, à savoir le concept de "Battle Royale". Il est encore trop tôt pour le dire!

Le Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge sera une compétition répartie sur deux jours (les 12 et 19 février) et sur deux continents, en Europe et en Amérique du Nord. Reste toutefois à Apex de démontrer qu'il peut poursuivre sa conquête et capitaliser durablement sur une base de joueurs fidèles pour convaincre définitivement les investisseurs. Mais cela ne se mesure pas sur une seule journée! Quoi qu'il en soit, les chiffres actuels sont en faveur du nouveau format Battle Royale d'EA. Sur chaque continent, 16 équipes de 3 streamers auront 4 heures pour affronter d'autres joueurs en ligne afin de marquer le plus de points possible, un kill valant un point tandis qu'une victoire en rapportera 5. Il met en scène 60 joueurs au maximum. Dénué de constructions ou de caddies, Apex Legends s'apparente facilement au fils illégitime d'Overwatch et PUBG. Et malgré quelques petits soucis secondaires, le jeu, qui n'a connu aucune phase de bêta tests sur le nombre de connexions simultanées a vu ses serveurs et son netcode tenir le cap sans broncher. Pour le moment, Apex Legends n'est jouable que sur PC, PS4 et Xbox One.
