A 19-year-old woman turned herself into police on Wednesday to face charges of allegedly throwing two chairs off a 45th story balcony along a busy downtown Toronto street.

A source had told CityNews the woman has a criminal history and police have been in touch with her. Officers were giving her about 24 hours to turn herself in. CTV News cites a law enforcement source saying that the chair was recovered close to the building's entrance and was damaged "almost beyond recognition". Or are they fair seeing as no one was injured in this incident.

Police on Tuesday had said they knew her identity and were urging her to contact a lawyer and police. Police described the woman's actions as "very callous" while also thanking social media tipsters for helping investigators to identify the suspect.

The woman wanted for a Mischief - Endanger Life investigation after throwing a chair from a downtown condo balcony surrendered to authorities this morning.

Zoia was released on a consent bail of $2,000 and was ordered to live with her mother Maria, a cleaner, at her Harding Ave. home. She must also not have any contact with the four individuals that were with her at the time. She wishes it never happened. "She never wished anyone would be hurt", said Leslie.

"We're going to have discussions with the Crown's office". This being a case where no one was injured, we didn't have any public safety concerns.

After the video went viral, police asked the woman in the footage to surrender.

Neighbours have said the unit was used as a short-term rental.

Neighbours told CTV News Toronto that they believed it was being operated as one that day. "We are investigating whether any Airbnb guests were involved and we will be suspending any guest accounts that appear to be connected to this incident". "It was grossly irresponsible behaviour that could have caused serious injury and death".
