The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to sign Earl Thomas to a four-year, $55 million contract.

While the Ravens added on defense they also added to their backfield with the signing of former Saints running back Mark Ingram to a three-year, $15 million deal.

Thomas was limited to four games last season after suffering a broken leg. He went on to make six Pro Bowl appearances, was named a three-time All-Pro and will be a no doubt Ring of Honor inductee when his career ends.

On Wednesday, despite his rocky tenure with the Seahawks, Thomas wrote on Twitter: "Thank you Seattle for the love and memories that my family and I will never forget". Arriving in Baltimore with 106 games of experience, including 64 starts, Ingram provides stability to a backfield that previous year counted heavily on rookie Gus Edwards.

The move Dallas Cowboys fans have been waiting for finally happened, the team re-signed fullback Jamize Olawale.

The Browns felt good about their chances of landing Thomas, Jason La Canfora with CBS Sports reported Tuesday night. But those reports were quashed early Wednesday morning, and news then broke of his signing with the Ravens. The safety, who was with the Seattle Seahawks at the time, approached the Cowboys head coach and had a message for him.

Thomas leaves Seattle going down as one of the three best safeties in team history along with Hall of Famer Kenny Easley and Chancellor, with whom he helped form the famed Legion of Boom defense from 2010 until Chancellor's career-ending injury against Arizona on November 9, 2017.

Even though the Baltimore Ravens lost multiple starters on the defense the last two days before the official start of free agency (Eric Weddle, Za'Darius Smith, C.J. Mosley, Terrell Suggs), they made a much-needed splash signing at a couple positions of need, starting with the signing of former Seattle Seahawk Earl Thomas.

This past season, Thomas appeared in four games, including four starts. Thomas was reportedly hoping to land a deal that would make him the highest paid safety in the National Football League, and that's exactly what he ended up getting from Baltimore.
