The model - the company's very first production BEV - was unveiled by Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichma.
Production of the auto will be strictly limited to 155 units and prices have not yet been provided, but expect them to be high.
The company this week confirmed preliminary specifications for the Rapide E released late a year ago, which includes two rear-mounted electric motors that produce a combined 449kW of power and no less than 950Nm of torque - enough to propel the sleek four-door sports sedan to 60mph (96.5km/h) in less than 4.0 seconds.

Qualcomm stock rose more than 20% after the news broke, boosting its market cap by about $14.5 billion to more than $84 billion. The last-minute settlement cut short a courtroom clash between the tech giants just as it was getting underway in California.
Aston Martin will build just 155 units of the Rapid E, which will be the automaker's only battery-powered auto until the United Kingdom automaker revives its Lagonda brand as an all-electric marque early next decade. The battery provides a range of "over 200 miles" (321 km) and can be charged in a little over an hour using a 400V 50 kW charger.
The 2020 Rapide E is based on the Rapide AMR, the most extreme-performance version of the gasoline-powered Rapide sedan. The top speed of the Rapide E stands at 250 kmph. An on-board AC charger is capable of recharging the battery in three hours, though thanks to the 800V high-voltage battery system much faster stops are possible with the right set up. There will be three driving modes: GT, Sport and Sport+, which control both power delivery and handling characteristics. New to it are the honeycomb front grille, as well as larger intakes to help cool the EV powertrain. There's also a larger rear diffuser, more aerodynamic wheels and bespoke low resistance tyres.
Inside and out, Rapide E comes equipped with a 10-inch digital display which gives the user all the key information needed including the battery's state of charge, current motor power levels, regenerative performance and a real-time energy consumption meter. It displays remaining range, battery status, and time to charge, as well as allowing navigation destinations to be sent from the app to the vehicle for easy route planning. The Rapide's underbody has also been changed to improve airflow. According to the brand, the Rapide E "represents a pioneering first step towards achieving the company's wider electrification strategy and the successful fruition of Lagonda" - an Aston Martin brand that has recently been relaunched to manufacture and sell exclusively electric and fantastically-luxurious cars. One that signals Aston Martin is prepared for the huge challenge of an environmentally responsible and sustainable future. That's why it was so important to me that in embracing EV technology we should not let go of those unique qualities that define an Aston Martin. "I believe Rapide E embodies that desire and paves the way for a hugely exciting future".
