  • Prosecutors to release video of Robert Kraft at Florida day spa report

The case itself, in which Kraft was charged with two counts of misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution for two trips to the spa in Florida in which he allegedly paid for sex, has had plenty of attention.

Prosecutors will also release video showing 24 other men charged in the monthslong, multi-jurisdictional sting that allegedly ensnared Kraft in February, according to documents filed by the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office.

Kraft has pleaded not guilty to the charges and requested a jury trial.

The spa's owner, Hua Zhang, and manager, Lei Wang, are being prosecuted, too.

Kraft has fought to keep the videos - which were obtained through police surveillance - private, though a judge has yet to rule on his request for a protective order. "But the Media's outsized appetite for the Videos-the substance of which is already purportedly described in publicly available documents-appears to be based not on a desire to shed light on an important public event, but rather to humiliate Mr. Kraft and appeal to the prurient interests of a certain members of the public who are zealous to inspect the supposed dirty laundry of public figures".

"The legislative scheme of the Public Records Act does not allow a custodian to delay the production of records to allow the resolution of a constitutional challenge to the release of the documents", the documents said.

Deadspin reports that Kraft's lawyers, William Burck and Alex Spiro, are targeting Florida's public records laws, claiming that they violate the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which is created to protect citizens from unlawful searches and seizures.

Kraft's legal team has argued the video was "basically pornography" and is asking a judge to prevent the videos' release to the news media, in part because the footage's release would violate Kraft's right to privacy. The report said Kraft was driven to the spa on both occasions.

He went on to claim the media wants the video only for "eyeballs and clicks".

The cameras were installed in January after officers used an undisclosed ruse to gain access to the spa. Last week, his lawyers argued that release of the video could "destroy" his chances at a fair trial.
