  • Does this sound familiar? Marshawn Lynch is retiring... again

The Raiders plan to spend an early draft pick on a running back.

Marshawn Lynch is reportedly ready to hang up his cleats again, two seasons after the veteran tailback returned from his first retirement to join his hometown Oakland Raiders, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Head coach Jon Gruden expressed a desire to bring Lynch back for the 2019 campaign but knew nothing of the player's intentions.

Lynch's mom, Delisa, is an avid user of Twitter, and based on a tweet she sent out on Wednesday, it seems that she's not entirely convinced that her son is going to retire.

Marshawn Lynch made a name for himself as one of the best running backs in the league while he was playing for the Seattle Seahawks. Over the last two years, Lynch has averaged 4.3 yards per carry and scored 10 touchdowns on 332 touches.

Another classic run from Lynch, who was impossible to tackle when at his best.

He appeared in 15 games with the Raiders in 2017, rushing for 891 yards and seven touchdowns.

Over 11 seasons, Lynch posted 10,379 yards on the ground with 84 touchdowns, adding 2,214 yards receiving with nine touchdowns.
