CBS is defending its handling of a sexual harassment claim against "Bull" drama series star Michael Weatherly. "He owned that mistake... he was apologetic at the time; he was remorseful..."

According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS entertainment president Kelly Kahl defended his decision to keep Bull on the air at the network's press upfronts presentation in New York City on Wednesday, saying Weatherly is "honest in his remorse", adding, "We personally believe he can make a mistake and he admitted to that mistake".

The accusations against Weatherly were first revealed in late 2018, when an investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against former CBS CEO Les Moonves revealed a $9.5 million settlement between CBS and Dushku, who claimed she was sacked from the series after confronting Weatherly about his behavior on set. "Bull" production company Amblin Entertainment has severed its ties to the show in the wake of the Weatherly scandal.

The actor, who became a household name with his role as Tony DiNozzo on NCIS, was accused by former Bull costar Eliza Dushku of sexual harassment during her time with the series. He was willing to take any kind of coaching or training we deem necessary for him to create a positive environment on the set.

"When we looked at the totality of the situation, we felt comfortable bringing Bull back on the air", he said. "This is not a "he-said/she-said" case".

Body of missing Florida mom discovered in warehouse freezer
The building manager hired a company to remove all of the appliances in the apartment, including an old upright freezer. The business owner said Friday she opened the freezer and found the body of 35-year-old Heather Lacey last month.

"During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script", he said in a statement at the time.

Weatherly's long relationship with CBS was also taken into consideration.

Kahl stressed that he was confident that Weatherly "took everything very seriously and wants to move forward".

Weatherly denied having anything to do with Dushku being written off the show, but admitted that he engaged in behavior that was "both not amusing and not appropriate", adding, "I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza". "He's a dad, he's a father".
