  • Pregnant Chicago woman lured to free baby clothing offer, killed, and baby cut from her womb

On Thursday afternoon, police announced 46-year-old Clarisa Figueroa and her daughter Desiree Figueroa were charged with first-degree murder in Ochoa-Lopez's death.

The three people charged in the murder of 19-year-old Marlen Ochoa-Lopez are scheduled to appear in court Friday for a bond hearing.

The nine-months-pregnant woman was last seen leaving her high school on 23 April, the same day paramedics were called to the home several kilometres away on the Southwest Side about a newborn with problems breathing.

They later found the body in a waste bin behind the house and recovered surveillance video that showed Ms Ochoa-Lopez's vehicle driving through the neighbourhood on the day they believed she was killed, authorities said.

When police arrived to question Figueroa, her daughter told them that her mother was in the hospital with some kind of leg injury, before adding that she had just delivered a baby, said Brendan Deenihan, deputy chief of detectives.

Police said Marlen Ochoa-Lopez was strangled to death and her baby cut out of her womb after she was lured to a home.

For the three weeks she was missing, Ochoa-Lopez's baby boy had already been forcibly removed from her womb and was hospitalized along with a woman who claimed to be his mother, according to fire department spokesman Larry Langford. Family members of the victim have said the infant is on life support and shows no sign of brain function. They said Ochoa-Lopez had bought items from Clarisa Figueroa before she was killed. "We assume they would raise the child as their own". Sources told CBS that Ochoa-Lopez was led down to the basement and strangled with a coaxial cable.

DNA tests later proved that the baby that was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn on the day Ochoa-Uriostegui went missing belonged to the 19-year-old.

Cannes 2019 : une réalisatrice éconduite car son bébé n’est pas accrédité
Toujours d'après les informations de The Guardian , le festival a d'abord refusé l'accès à son fils sur le site. La raison? Son bébé ne disposait d'accréditation.

"She was giving clothes away, supposedly under the pretense that her daughters had been given clothes and they had all these extra boy clothes", said Cecelia Garcia, a spokeswoman for the family.

The suspect reportedly lured Ochoa-Uriostegui to her home by offering her baby clothes for her unborn son. "We have looked for her and prayed for her". The baby, however, was not Ochoa-Uriostegui's.

Clarisa's boyfriend, Piotr Bobak, has been charged with concealment of a homicide. They are demanding justice for Marlen and her loved ones.

On May 8, more than two weeks after the ambulance call, Ms Ochoa-Lopez's black Honda Civic was found abandoned in the 7700 block of South Keeler Avenue, a few blocks from where her body was discovered.

That's also the name of a section in her book and a play on Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a form of abuse where the person supposed to care for the individual makes up or causes the condition.

The DNA matched the baby's father, said Cortes of Adalberto Memorial United Methodist Church.

Ochoa-Lopez's husband, Yiovanni Lopez, says he understands that his son is expected to die soon.

"Due to the fact that I'm in school and can't work at the moment, I can't afford to buy the rest of the things since I'm short on cash right now", Ochoa-Lopez wrote, according to screen shots of the exchange, reports CBS Chicago.
