  • Deadly plane crash brings world's busiest airport to halt

A South African and three British passengers aboard the plane died.

Dubai International Airport is the world's busiest when measured by international passenger traffic.

The report said the small DA42 plane was owned by Flight Calibration Services Limited, a company based out of Shoreham Airport.

"An accident involving a small plane with four passengers occurred resulting in the death of the pilot and his assistant".

The last major aircraft incident in Dubai happened in August 2016, when an Emirates Boeing 777-300 crash landed after flying in from Thiruvananthapuram, India.

A small plane involved in upgrading a runway at Dubai International Airport crashed Thursday night, killing four people and halting traffic at the world's busiest airport for international travel for almost an hour.
