"Around 10 days ago, I had a dream that Inzi bhai (Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chief selector) gave me a call and told me that I have been selected and this is my last chance".

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz on Tuesday vowed to live up to the nation's expectations in the upcoming World Cup by bringing aggression and fire with his bowling.

Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir have been called up to the squad in place of Junaid and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, with one change made in the batting line-up as well where Asif Ali replaces Abid Ali. I was out of the team for the last two years and worked hard. "Nobody expected the pitches in the United Kingdom to be flat even in the early season there (during the recent ODI series against England)". Both the bowlers were not included in the initial World Cup squad announced last month but Aamir, who is yet to recover from chickenpox, was named for the one-day series against England which Pakistan completed on Sunday.

"The team which has the ability to reverse swing the ball definitely will have an edge over opponents", he added. With the conditions dry and wickets hard in England, there will be reverse swing and the team that does it better will have the advantage.

Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

"Considering any opponent weaker will not be fair as we have to demonstrate our best ability in every match and team efforts and hunger to victory are the key to success in the World Cup", he asserted. "It is nothing less than make or break for a player who gets an opportunity to play in the World Cup", he added.

"The dream has come true and I very happy because my late father always wanted me to play in the maximum number of World Cups for my country", he said.
