A suspect has been arrested in the case of the mysterious "subway bandit" who has wreaked havoc on New Yorkers' rush-hour commutes by pulling train emergency brakes, causing delays and stranding riders at peak times.

Isaiah Thompson was picked up at is home in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood around 10 p.m. Thursday, police confirmed to ABC News.

According to authorities, the alleged culprit used the same M.O. every time, climbing into the last auto through the rear door. Police did not say whether they think Thompson acted alone or as part of a group.

Thompson faces charges of reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. Somehow, Thompson allegedly had his own master key that he used to gain access to the train operator's cab, which is always empty.

Thompson was also charged with Public Lewdness for a May 16 incident.

They snapped a photo of Thompson's exposed unit and off he went - back into the subway tunnels of NYC to ruin another person's day, prosecutors allege.

Authorities are investigating whether or not he was involved in several emergency brake-pulling incidents in April and May.
