Liberal Actors to Perform Dramatic Reading of Mueller Report

  • Star-studded cast to perform live reading of ‘The Mueller Report

On Monday, these stars and more will do a live reading of "The Investigation: A Search for the Truth in 10 Acts", a stage production based on the Mueller report.

Several of the actors have experience portraying fictional US presidents, including Louis-Dreyfus in the HBO show Veep, Kline in the 1993 comedy Dave, and Lithgow in a recently canceled Broadway play about Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The star-studded reading harkens back to 2012, when George Clooney and Brad Pitt led a live reading of the court case, Perry v. Schwarzenegger, which challenged the legality of Proposition 8, the ballot measure which banned same-sex marriage in California.

The stream kicks off at 6 p.m.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mark Hamill, Alyssa Milano and Annette Bening are among some 20 actors who will perform a reading of the report in New York City that will be live-streamed, organizers announced.

Other names involved include Justin Long, Jason Alexander, Gina Gershon, Alfre Woodard, Piper Perabo, Kyra Sedgwick, Zachary Quinto, and Michael Shannon. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan wrote the performance piece, which is titled The Investigation.

Law Works is an organization that engages bipartisan voices and educates the public on the Mueller investigation and the importance of the rule of law, so that Congress and the American people can ensure no one is above the law.

The theatrical adaptation of the report, which will be performed in front of an audience in NY, was written by Robert Schenkkan, with filmmaker Abigail Disney, Susan Disney Lord and Timothy Disney (their father is Roy E. Disney, and their granduncle is Walt Disney) serving as executive producers.
