Watford complete club-record €35m Sarr signing

Watford have confirmed the signing of Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr on a five-year contract for a club-record fee believed to be worth £40m.

Sarr was part of Senegal's side which finished as runners-up at the recent Africa Cup of Nations, while he was also involved in their squad during the World Cup in 2018.

Since Richarlison's sale to Everton, the Hornets have somewhat lacked a versatile forward and Sarr should go a long way to providing that.

Sarr becomes the fourth major signing of the summer by Watford, with Craig Dawson and Tom Dele-Bashiru joining in Welbeck in committing their futures to the club over the summer.
