One officer killed, two others injured in shootout in California
Police say the officers initiated some sort of stop with the suspect before the suspect and an officer exchanged gunfire. The officer returned fire, and was joined by two other Highway Patrol officers who responded as backup.

Inside, the officers found three loaded handguns, a gas-powered submachine gun, extended magazines, ammunition and a ballistic vest. "I got an American Express".

Telfair said he had a Florida concealed carry license for the weapons, but he did not have a license to carry the guns in ny.

As a point guard at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2004.

The officers who pulled Telfair over reported smelling the odor of marijuana and observed a lit marijuana cigarette in the car's console, the release from the district attorney's office said. As an undersized point guard in the pros, he stuck around for 10 years but struggled to make a major impact, averaging 7.4 points, 3.5 assists and 1.6 rebounds.
