  • Andrew Luck Injury Revealed To Be Worse Than Originally Imagined

Andrew Luck remains sidelined with a nagging calf injury, but that hasn't kept him from throwing the football.

Irsay shared that information in a radio interview this week while assuring listeners that Luck is not at risk for an Achilles tendon injury.

"I know everyone's had their questions about Andrew and that sort of thing, but I really feel confident that he's going to find his way through this thing", Irsay said. "It's in another area". He missed all of organized team activities and spring practices and has made just a few appearances at training camp in a limited capacity.

All Black Barrett banned for three weeks for red card
The absence of 25-year-old Barrett and the injured Brodie Retallick means New Zealand will field a fourth-choice lock in Saturday's Bledisloe Cup Test.

The report emphasizes the difference between Luck's current calf injury and the shoulder issue that hampered him in the past. Still, the team owner said then that Luck would be ready for the 2017 season, a prediction he repeated that summer. All seemed good, at least until Luck injured his calf, or his ankle, or some mysterious bone.

"We're three-and-a-half weeks away from regular season, so I'm not ready to say (Luck's regular-season opener is in jeopardy)", Ballard told reporters on a conference call Tuesday night.
