This follows an Associated Press report that 9 women have accused Domingo of trying to pressure them into sexual relationships by dangling jobs and sometimes punishing them professionally if they refused.
Six other women allege that Domingo, 78, made them feel uncomfortable with his sexual propositions, and dozens of other people in the opera business claimed that they witnessed the multiple Grammy award victor being sexually inappropriate towards younger women.
One singer, who was 27 at the time, said she felt panicked and trapped.
The accusers' stories lay out strikingly similar patterns of behaviour that included Domingo persistently contacting them - often calling them repeatedly at home late at night - expressing interest in their careers and urging them to meet him privately under the guise of offering professional advice.
AP also spoke to nearly three dozen other singers, dancers, orchestra musicians, backstage staff, voice teachers and administrators who said they witnessed inappropriate sexually tinged behaviour by Domingo and he pursued younger women with impunity.
A representative for Domingo, now 78 but still a giant force in the opera world, did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment. He has sung 150 roles in over 4,000 performances, continues to sing, and also works as the director of the Los Angeles Opera.

The only company in the U.S.to cancel a performance featuring Domingo is the Philadelphia Orchestra; the opera star was to appear in the company's opening day concert.
Domingo called the accusations "deeply troubling, and as presented, inaccurate" in a statement to AP. "[I] will hold myself to the highest standards". This afternoon, the company's director, Ian Derrer, released a statement in response to the allegations, writing: "The Dallas Opera does not intend to take any immediate action while awaiting further developments".
One such woman who worked at the LA Opera told the AP that there was a whisper network about Domingo: "Avoid interaction with him at all costs".
A singer who met Domingo while traveling in Europe in 1992 told the AP he frequently called her with "flirty" messages asking to come to her apartment, and that eventually, the amount of calls left her "frightened". Women were warned not to be alone in an elevator with him.
Two of the women said they briefly gave in to Domingo's advances, feeling they couldn't risk jeopardizing their careers by saying no to the most powerful man in their profession. Several performers told the AP that they were sexually harassed by the star while working for the Washington opera and that his behavior was common knowledge.
A half-dozen other women said suggestive overtures by Domingo made them uncomfortable.
