La Corée du Nord a tiré deux "projectiles non identifiés"

Appliquant à la lettre sa traditionnelle stratégie de négociations qui, depuis des décennies, mêle mains tendues et provocations, le régime nord-coréen a tiré, tôt ce mardi matin deux nouveaux missiles.

Le leader nord-coréen Kim Jong Un a supervisé un nouveau test d'un "lanceur de missiles multiples de très grande dimension", ont rapporté mercredi les médias officiels, confirmant des tirs d'essai signalés la veille par la Corée du Sud et alors que Pyongyang a proposé à Washington de reprendre les négociations sur son programme nucléaire. "Nous appelons la Corée du Nord à stopper immédiatement ces actions qui ne font qu'alimenter les tensions", a lâché l'état-major sud-coréen dans un communiqué.

"Nous voulons nous retrouver en face-à-face avec les Etats-Unis fin septembre, à une date et en un lieu dont nous pouvons convenir", avait déclaré lundi la vice-ministre nord-coréenne des Affaires étrangères Choe Son Hui.

Celles-ci sont au point mort depuis février, quand Donald Trump et Kim Jong Un avaient échoué à trouver un accord sur la dénucléarisation nord-coréenne. "On va voir ce qui va se passer", a répondu Donald Trump.

"Interpellé sur ce sujet, Donald Trump a toutefois laissé entendre qu'il était favorable à une reprise des pourparlers".

Les deux dirigeants s'étaient de nouveau rencontrés en juin à la frontière dans la Zone démilitarisée (DMZ) qui sépare les deux États depuis la fin de la guerre de Corée (1950-1953). Mais ces discussions n'ont pas encore repris.

Si Pyongyang refuse catégoriquement d'abandonner ses armes nucléaires, il espère toujours pouvoir obtenir quelques concessions de la Maison-Blanche, et notamment la levée de certaines sanctions pénalisant son économie, en échange de gestes symboliques susceptibles de ravir Donald Trump.

"Mais Stephen Biegun a fait miroiter vendredi aux Nord-Coréens " des mesures immédiates " qui pourraient être prises en cas d'avancées dans les négociations, afin de tourner la page de " l'hostilité " et de la " méfiance ".
