(MENAFN - Baystreet.ca) The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a fresh record high on Friday after White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow said China and the USA were getting close to reaching a trade deal.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average topped the 28,000 mark for the first time ever, closing Friday at 28,004.89.
The Dow climbed more than 125 points, or about 0.5%, by early afternoon, to set another all-time high of more than 27,910 points.
The S&P 500 has gained 3.4%, and Dow is up 2.8%, over the past month through Thursday's close.
