Speaking at the Reagan National Defence Forum in California on Saturday, Mr Bezos said: "If big tech is going to turn their backs on the Department of Defence, this country is in trouble, that just can't happen".

Bezos, the chief executive officer of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post, has been an outspoken critic of U.S. President Donald Trump.
