You may know Sanna Marin as the politician set to be world's youngest prime minister at the age of 34, of Finland. She was also the first in her family to go to university.

Marin is the mother of a two-year-old daughter.

And Ms Marin appears to have a sweet tooth, having shared fun photos of her tucking into ice cream and candy floss.

But on Tuesday, Marin deflected questions about the global attention she has received over becoming the world's youngest premier.

She has also said that her childhood has strongly influenced her political priorities, which include protecting Finland's generous welfare system and low levels of inequality. 'Invisibility caused a feeling of incompetence.

But growing up those around her did not always feel the same way, and she said that growing up with same-sex parents made her feel "invisible" and that they "were not recognised as a true family or equal with others".

The current youngest world leader is Ukraine's Oleksiy Honcharuk, 35, followed by North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, 35, El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele, 38, and New Zealand's Jacinda Ardern, 39.

Their leader, Justice Minister Anna-Maja Henriksson, 55, will miss out on Tuesday's vote as she is heading for a meeting in Washington between USA and European Union (EU) justice and home affairs ministers.
